My Thea and I finally had a chance to talk the other day on one of my highway trips back from an interpreting job. At the end of our conversation she asked, "So what's the name of your blog? I want to read it." After I told her the website she told me it was old news and I haven't updated it in awhile.. So here it is Thea, an all encompassing post (hence why the page loads super slow) just for you.
So here is what everyone has missed (if the only thing you've ever done to keep in contact with me is read my blog):
____Job
About a year ago I moved back home to Fort Wayne, mainly to be with my family until I found a more beneficial experience elsewhere. For the time being I was waiting tables and randomly fell into an interview for DeafLink. For those who have either asked me what my job is and still don't get it or who maybe I just haven't had the chance to explain my awesome job...it goes like this...
I work for a non-for profit called the League for the Blind and Disabled. It serves Fort Wayne and the surrounding counties with just about any disability need there may be. We have an array of services and programs and one program within it, is DeafLink.
DeafLink meets the needs of the Deaf community. Our main goals are to provide fee for service interpreting and one-on-one case management. We also provide information for anyone who calls or comes into the office such as; knowledge about the Deaf community, adaptive equipment, a need for advocacy, how to work with an interpreter/Deaf individual and so on...
My specific job is an Interpreter Coordinator. I deal with the day to day scheduling, working with businesses to set up interpreters/contracts and any paper work involved.
--Someone sent back a fax with this on it...made me laugh a bit--
The best part is that every once in awhile I'm able to bust out of the stale aired office and see the people we serve on a weekly basis. The places I go and the people I get to meet amazes me.. Every assignment is so different from the last and although Fort Wayne has its limits, it is amazing to see what I've never discovered or experienced before. But some of those stories can be saved for the next post (because yes Thea, there will be more).
As DeafLink and the League are growing, so am I as an individual and professional. The resources I'm exposed to, the people I'm able to learn from, and support I have has increased my knowledge and experience to a whole new level. I'm still in disbelief that I have such an amazing job for this stage and place in my life.

____Nutrition
Ok, dumb section? Not really. It's been a long journey to make myself physically "better" and this has been such a long haul that it deserves a place. I have been deliberately drinking (a whole lot) less coffee everyday, increased my water supply, and actually choosing foods that aren't as much to get full but more specifically to benefit my body. I think it is so essential for everyone to find their own tune...especially in nutrition.
I've also indulged myself in yoga. This has really changed my perspective, given me a chance to have me time, and kicked my butt into gear for exercising.

OH and JUICING..............
For all of those who blend... it's cool too, I just really like juice.
____Apartment
Ok, even dumber? Maybe so, but the fact is--- EVERYONE COMPLAINS THAT MY APARTMENT IS SO HIGH ON THE THIRD FLOOR. Look guys, I'm just providing a quick exercise session to the best apartment in town...no big deal. For those who haven't seen it.....(I made a video)........ *siiggghhh* Yea I said it. I made a dorky video. Now everyone can see my continuing art project-of-an-apartment once and for all.
These are just random clips I've taken over the past 6 months... my apartment may have already shifted its look since then.
Nouns: People, places things....Favorites as of recently.
.....Now you can breathe. Done for now ; )
