Catching up

Just catching up with what I've been doing the past few weeks....
less words, more pictures!

(from the booth we waited for to make his hat)<-------
                                                                                                                         Grandpa's new hat!

Baby bunny we (the kids and staff at Reach: an after school program through Family Center on Deafness) found running around on the playground.  We kept it safe from the other kids who could have trampled it.

 Tarpon Springs... "Little Greece"

Oh my gosh. Getting one.

 Margaritas with my Aunts!
Food trucking with Lindsay in Kissimmee! So good.

I can't believe this is what I see every morning on my way to work....)
I'll miss you Florida... Leaving in two weeks!

2 years : )

On March 15th, David and I had been dating for 2 years!  I could be all mushy-gushy, but the pictures explain themselves: we're cute.

David made me "bacon chocolate"... this is a shared love of ours and we are constantly trying to convince others of it.  David wrote me a letter and told me that, "a lot of people like bacon and a lot of people like chocolate but when you put them together a lot of people are hesitant to try it..."

He's so cute! He was comparing our opposite personalities and how really, bacon chocolate is really great together.  I'd have to agree ; )

A Cooking Short Film

My Yiayia (grandma) was such an awesome person. I miss her all the time and still can't believe she's gone. I recently came across these pictures and also am in the midst of putting videos together of all the footage I took of her while we cooked together. I'm not going to share her recipes with anyone except my family but I did want to share some of the good & funny moments I had with her. I won't ever forget her broken english or how should would say "post toh lenne...." which means "how do you say..."when she'd be asking how to say something in English or how she would never measure anything! This video is just a glimpse of who my Yiayia was on a regular basis.

I Miss....A Few Memories of Yiayia

I miss her and Papou's (my grandpa's) huge garden.. It was just about as wide as their house and had so many different vegetables in it.
I miss Yiayia's "work" shoes that would sit in her closets and outside around the house.
I miss how she would say, "Goodmorning Birdies" in her thick Greek accent and refer herself to them as "mommy"...and how I'd often find her Greek bread she would make inside their cage.
I miss the untouchable living room that I remember rarely going into... but still loved that it's there.
I miss so many things..and even though a lot of these "things" won't be there for long, the pictures, the videos and the memories will never go away.
